BRAND NEW BOOKS!

The ISCJ Weekend School has selected new Arabic and Quran books from the Weekend Learning Series, tailored to enhance students' understanding of Islamic teachings and Arabic language skills. These vibrant, interactive books are designed to engage students and are supplemented by comprehensive online teacher's editions, interactive learning materials, and workbooks that reinforce Quranic studies and Arabic literacy. Our teachers are receiving training from a communications skills expert to ensure effective virtual engagement and instruction. We are also working to make course materials easily accessible online. These improvements reflect our commitment to providing a well-rounded, high-quality Islamic education for your child.


Curriculum per Grade (KG-8th)

Below is the content taught for Arabic, Islamic, and Quranic in each grade (KG-8th).

Curriculum for 9th & 10th Grade

Knowledge Objective: Equip students with the knowledge to develop their relationships with Allah and Islam based on the foundational knowledge of previous years.
Developmental Objective: Cater to our youth's social-emotional needs in a way consistent with Islamic beliefs.

Quranic Studies Islamic Studies Community Services
9th & 10th Student will learn about Gems of Juzz Amma, Surah Kahf, and the Tafseer of Surah Yusuf and Surah Nuh. Concepts about Faith, Existence of Allah, Adab & Akhlaq, Muslim Identity, Misconceptions about Islam, Interfaith, and Ethical Standards in Islam Students can develop leadership and teamwork by assisting as Principal and Teacher Assistants, Tech Assistants, and leaders in school clubs like Yearbook, Graduation, and Book Club. They’ll also engage in community activities such as Clothing Drives, Merchandise Sales, Logo Design Competitions, and seasonal events like Winter Wonderland, fostering school pride and community spirit while giving back in meaningful ways.

Health Curriculum per Grade

Health curriculum topics have been chosen based on parity to the public school curriculum. The lessons are taught from an Islamic perspective with Haya and Modesty by trained teachers. The classes will be gender segregated when necessary. Parents will be allowed to opt-out of all lessons.
